A draft, to be checked before the site goes live.
Playing as a guest
A guest has no account. The window is given a random key, and the game keeps the save that key opens: your character and what has happened in the world. A guest's save is deleted a day after its last turn.
Your account
Signing in keeps your email address, the runs you've kept, and a record of each browser you're signed in on (which browser it is, so you can tell them apart). Nothing else about you.
For adults
The game is for players 18 and over. If you think someone younger has signed up, write to us and we delete their account.
What the Dungeon Master sees
The Dungeon Master is your own Claude or ChatGPT, on your own plan, so what you type goes to that company as it does in any chat. The game itself never sees your Claude or ChatGPT account.
Your address on the internet
To stop anyone from making endless guests, the game counts how many each address makes in a day. It keeps a scrambled form of the address, not the address itself, and forgets it after two days.
When the game or this site turns an address away for asking too often (too many wrong keys, sign-ins or new guests), its log notes that address and why, once an hour, and keeps the note for 14 days. The game and this site write down no other address.
Logs and backups
Nothing of play is logged. The logs keep only the game's own faults and the addresses above, for 14 days. Saves, and this site's records, are backed up every night, and each backup is deleted after 7 days: what you delete leaves the backups within a week.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in, and one carries a form from page to page. There is no tracking and no advertising.
Deleting it all
Your account page has "Delete my data": it deletes your account, your runs and everything in them at once, and signs out every window signed in to it. Its copies in the backups go within a week.
For a copy of what we keep about you, write to us from the address you sign in with.
